Privacy policy for the macOS app.

Klipmancy is a macOS menu bar app for clipboard history, snippets, and AI-powered text transformations. This privacy policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.

Information Klipmancy does not collect

Klipmancy does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal information with the developer for analytics, advertising, or profiling purposes.

• No user account is required.
• No analytics or ad tracking SDKs are used by default.
• No clipboard history or snippets are uploaded to the developer.
• No personal information is sold to third parties.

Information stored on your device

Klipmancy stores app data locally on your Mac so the app can function. This may include clipboard history, saved snippets, saved prompts, local preferences, and log files created during normal use.

API credentials you choose to enter for supported AI providers are stored locally in the macOS Keychain.

Third-party AI providers

If you configure Klipmancy to use a third-party AI provider such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, or another OpenAI-compatible endpoint, the content you send through those features is transmitted directly to the provider you selected.

Klipmancy itself does not collect or store that content on behalf of the developer, but the LLM provider you choose may collect, store, log, review, or otherwise process the prompts and content you send according to that provider's own privacy policy and terms.

You should review the privacy practices of any AI provider you connect. Klipmancy does not control how third-party providers handle data once you choose to send content to them.

Local model and custom endpoint usage

If you connect Klipmancy to a local model or a self-hosted endpoint, any data handling depends on the system or service you choose to run. Klipmancy itself does not add separate data collection beyond sending the request you initiate.

Data retention and deletion

Because Klipmancy stores its working data locally on your device, you can remove app data by clearing content inside the app or uninstalling the app and deleting its local support files, logs, and preferences.

Children's privacy

Klipmancy is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
